The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) announced that OWL Sport, the revolutionary performance pickleball brand that headlines the USA Pickleball’s Quiet Category, has secured the title sponsorship for The OWL APP Newport Beach Open on July 3-7, 2024, at the Tennis and Pickleball Club at Newport Beach, California. The world-class competition is the APP Tour’s third Major tournament of 2024, welcoming more than 1,600 pickleball players of all ages and skill levels from around the country and internationally —including the sport’s elite professionals.

The OWL APP Newport Beach Open is a USA Pickleball-designated “Golden Ticket” event, in which gold medal winners earn the chance to pre-register to compete in the 2024 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships in November. As a Major APP Tour event, pro players will compete for their share of a $150,000 prize pool.
Competition at The OWL APP Newport Beach Open is open to all skill levels 3.0 through 5.0, plus those playing at the pro level, across a wide range of age brackets. Pro and amateur player registration is open through June 23 on theapp.global.
