The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) announced today the addition of Yuengling brands to its sponsorship portfolio as the Official Beer of the 2023 APP Dallas Open, held October 4-8 in Rockwall, Texas—the latest state to brew Yuengling’s 194-year-old iconic portfolio of beer.
Family-owned and operated since 1829, Yuengling is the oldest and largest craft brewery in the United States. The brand is excited to add an activation in pickleball, the nation’s fastest-growing sport, through its partnership with the APP.
“We are excited to partner FLIGHT by Yuengling with the APP and look forward to pickleball fans experiencing the Next Generation of Light Beer® in Texas.” said Abbi Schuler, Director of Field Marketing, The Yuengling Company.
As part of APP’s partnership with Yuengling, the brand will be immersed into the fan experience on site at the 2023 APP Dallas Open, including an activation space where fans ages 21 and over can sample the upscale, low-carb and low-calorie brand, FLIGHT by Yuengling—the Next Generation of Light Beer®. Fans tuning into the APP Tour broadcasts on ESPN+ and ESPN2 will also see Yuengling content that supports the portfolio of brands.
"We are delighted to welcome Yuengling as the Official Beer of the APP Dallas Open,” said APP Chief Marketing Officer Tom Webb. “Yuengling’s rich history of memorable experiences models the world-class atmosphere the APP Tour offers the pickleball community, and we look forward to amplifying the excitement of pickleball together in Dallas this October.”
The 2023 APP Dallas Open will be held at Oasis Pickleball Club in suburban Rockwall and due to be aired on ESPN2. The venue features a robust 42 outdoor pickleball courts, eight covered courts and a dedicated Stadium Court as the centerpiece of the event.
