You Never Forget Your First: Yana Newell secured her first women's pro singles title, defeating Simone Jardim in the gold medal game. The medal is Newell's third gold of the season but her first in singles. We'll drink to that!
Crowning Glory: Speaking of firsts, a huge congrats to Marcello Jardim on his first triple crown on the APP Champions Tour! A gold in singles, mixed doubles and men's doubles is as difficult to do as it sounds, but there are a select few with their names on this short list.
"A" for Effort: Grayson Goldin took home a bronze in men's pro singles in Dallas, and while it wasn't Goldin's best result of the year, if there was a medal for tenacity at the 2024 APP Dallas Open, he would be the runaway winner. Roll With It: They say that while you can't control the wind, you can adjust the sails, and Jack Munro found that doing so pays off. Pickleball is an ever-evolving sport and those who can grow with it will find success. Munro's recent parade to the medal stand is proof, and he added a gold to his collection with Megan Fudge in mixed pro doubles, their second title of the year as a pair.
Six In One: Whether it's six in one or half-dozen in the other doesn't really matter to Chris Haworth. The man has been dominant this year in the men's pro singles category and came away with his sixth title of the year in Texas.

The Future is Bright: The Southwestern Collegiate Regional qualifier also took place at The Oasis Pickleball Club and teams competed to earn their spots at the 2025 APP U.S. Collegiate Championships. The Pickleball Club at the University of Virginia had two teams win gold and bronze, and what an amazing sight to see so many college teams vying for their chance to qualify. Congrats to all the teams that participated and punched their ticket to the championship tournament!
Medals and Memories: Megan Fudge had herself a tournament in Dallas, bringing home gold in both women's and mixed pro doubles with Jill Braverman and Jack Munro respectively. The women's pro doubles final was a rematch of Newport Beach in July, but this time she and Braverman bested Yana Newell and Emily Cederquist. Fudge is the most decorated player on the APP Tour with a whopping 22 total medals on the year.
Purple and Gold: Max "Purple Jesus" Manthou and Erik Lange earned their second gold of the year together in men's pro doubles when they beat Will Howells and Mark Dancuart. The purple is growing on us!
