The 2025 APP Tour is off to the races, and is full throttle ahead for its second event of the season. This week, we’re heading to the Birthplace of Speed — Daytona Beach, Florida — for the APP Vlasic Classic – Daytona Beach.
The world’s first and world’s best pickleball tour is bringing five days of elite pickleball action at the venerable Pictona at Holly Hill, home to 49 pickleball courts and one of the premier championship court setups in the entire sport. Pictona will be the place to be this week!
Pickleball players from around the world will hit the courts to battle for hardware, featuring amateurs of all ages, pickleball’s elite pros, the AARP Champions (50+) and Masters (60+) Divisions and the Humana Cup competition.
The APP Vlasic Classic – Daytona Beach is also a USA Pickleball Golden Ticket event, meaning gold medalists earn the right to secure their spot at the 2025 USAP National Championships.
In addition to national television coverage on CBS Sports Network, the APP Tour is bringing four full days of livestream coverage on Championship Court and introducing a second broadcast featuring thrilling matches throughout the day on the Players Court. FANTASTIC FUDGE
Megan Fudge took home two gold medals and a silver at the Humana APP Fort Lauderdale Open, building off a strong 2024. Fudge enters 2025 as the No. 1 ranked women's singles and doubles pro in the APP World Rankings.
CAN'T STOP CHRIS
Chris Haworth added another men's singles gold medal to his career in Fort Lauderdale, tacking on to the seven he earned in 2024. The Oklahoma City native is the No. 1 men's singles pro in the APP World Rankings.
BRAVERMANIA
Jill Braverman was the doubles queen in Fort Lauderdale, winning gold in women's pro doubles with Megan Fudge and mixed pro doubles with Will Howells. Braverman holds the No. 1-seeds with Fudge and Howells once again in Daytona Beach.
WILL THE THRILL
Will Howells came out firing in 2025, winning two gold medals - one in men's pro doubles and one in mixed pro doubles - at the Humana APP Fort Lauderdale Open. The former Notre Dame tennis star became the No. 1 ranked men's doubles pro in the APP World Rankings.
SUPER SOFIA
Sofia Sewing made her mark in women's pro singles at the Humana APP Fort Lauderdale Open. The Coconut Creek, Fla. native advanced all the way to Championship Sunday after starting in qualifier rounds, securing silver for her first career APP Tour medal. Sewing is back in action as the No. 16 seed in women's pro singles in Daytona Beach.
MONEY MUNRO
After a strong finish to 2024, Jack Munro picked up where he left off and took home a gold medal (men's pro doubles) and a silver medal (mixed pro doubles) in Fort Lauderdale. Munro and Will Howells return as the No. 1 seeds in men's pro doubles.
ALL ABOUT ALLISON
Allison Harris earned five total medals on the 2024 APP Tour, and started her 2025 season on the right track with a silver medal in women's pro doubles. Harris and Kelsey Grambeau are the No. 2 seeds in women's pro doubles in Daytona Beach.
DYNAMIC DUO
Max "Purple Jesus" Manthou and Erik Lange emerged as one of the APP Tour's top men's pro doubles pairings late in 2024, winning thee of the last four gold medals as a team. The crowd-favorite duo earned men's pro doubles silver medals in Fort Lauderdale and return as the No. 2 seeds in Daytona Beach.
GOLDIN STANDARD
Grayson Goldin emerged as one of the top men's pro singles players in the game in 2024, and started his 2025 campaign strong with a silver medal. The Bradenton, Florida native is the No. 2 seed in men's pro singles at the APP Vlasic Classic in Delray Beach.
RAISING THE BARR
Susannah Barr took home 10 total APP Tour medals in 2024, including three golds. The Boise, Idaho native is the APP Tour's all-time total medal leader in women's pro doubles (32) and mixed pro doubles (women - 21). Barr's 53 total medals are the third-most all-time among all APP Tour pros. Barr pairs with Brandon Lane in mixed pro doubles and Daria Walczak in women's pro doubles.
