The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) has announced the 2025 event calendar for its APP Next Gen Series, bringing seven total events around the country for aspiring professional pickleball players aged 23 and younger and further cementing its status as a global leader in youth pickleball development.
The APP Next Gen and APP Next Gen II events are the world’s only pro pickleball player development programs, offering the younger generation of pickleball players valuable mentorship and coaching opportunities from APP Tour professionals while competing in multi-day prize-money tournaments. All events will be held at various Chicken N Pickle locations nationwide, plus a final event held for all players at The Fort, the APP’s global headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
“We are so excited to bring another season of the APP Next Gen Series to young pickleball players across the nation,” said APP Founder Ken Herrmann. “Nothing makes me more proud than to provide a platform for young players to learn, grow and immerse themselves in a first-rate experience to begin their pickleball careers. With more events than ever before, the 2025 APP Next Gen season promises to be the biggest and best one yet.”
Since its launch in 2021, the APP Next Gen Series has been the pathway for some of the biggest talent in pickleball, including numerous APP Tour gold medalists and top-ranked professionals. Players competing in the APP Next Gen Series will have the opportunity to be named to the 2025 APP Next Gen U.S. National Team, whose experience includes training camps, coaching and mentoring, physical and skill evaluations and international travel to compete in global pickleball events powered by the APP.
First debuting in 2024, the APP established the APP Next Gen II Series due to the overwhelming demand to play in APP Next Gen Series events, allowing for more pickleball players to begin their journey in the APP Next Gen program.
