The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) and Pickleball Cayman have announced a brand-new international event taking the world’s first and world’s best pickleball tour to the Cayman Islands for the very first time. The 2025 APP Cayman Islands Open will take place March 20-23 at Pickleball Cayman in beautiful Grand Cayman, welcoming pickleball players of all ages and skill levels to be part of history in a world-class event.  

Player registration for the 2025 APP Cayman Islands Open is now officially open through March 10 via theapp.global. The four-day tournament will host men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles across a variety of age and skill brackets, plus those playing at the open level, as they compete for gold medals and cash prizes in one of the world’s most beautiful settings.  

“As global leaders in pickleball, we are proud to lead the sport’s development and bring the APP Tour around the world,” said APP Founder Ken Herrmann. “There is a booming pickleball community in the Cayman Islands and we’re excited to host them for an incredible event in March.”

The APP Tour has cemented itself as a global steward for pickleball, holding events around the world including England, India, Spain, Sweden and more. The APP also hosted the first-ever international team-based competition, the APP Atlantic Cup, in March 2024 pitting Team USA against Team Europe. The APP Academy, now open for registration at the APP’s global headquarters at The Fort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is the first development academy of its kind, inviting players from across the globe to live, train and kickstart their professional pickleball careers.
